Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Vestrit Games ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Seer mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account & Authentication

To use Seer you create an account with Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). You may sign up with email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. Depending on the method you choose, we may receive:

Email address
Display name
Profile photo URL (if provided by the sign-in provider)
A unique Firebase user ID

We use this information to authenticate you, save your preferences and reading history, and unlock purchased content.

b) App Content Data

We store the following data in Firebase Firestore linked to your user ID:

Tarot reading-related records and cards associated with your use
Daily card history
In-app preferences (e.g. preferred language, card back, wallpaper, notification settings)
Owned cardbacks and purchase metadata (e.g. which designs you unlocked)
In-app coin balance (virtual currency earned from completed rewarded ads and spent on cardback unlocks). Coins have no cash value outside the App.

c) Question Text & AI Interpretations

When you request an AI tarot interpretation, the question you type or speak is sent to OpenAI, L.L.C. via a secure Firebase Cloud Function proxy to generate your personalised reading. OpenAI processes this text according to their Privacy Policy. We do not retain your question text on our servers after the interpretation is returned, except insofar as crash or rate-limit logs may briefly include operational metadata.

d) Microphone & Voice Input

The App may use your device microphone solely for optional speech-to-text so you can speak your tarot question. Audio is processed in real time by your device's built-in speech recognition (Google on Android, Apple on iOS) and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers. Microphone access is requested only when you use voice input and can be revoked in your device settings.

e) Advertising Identifiers

The App displays ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID) to serve personalised ads. On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency permission before personalised tracking. In the EEA/UK, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form may also be shown. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). See Google's Privacy Policy.

f) Analytics

The App uses PostHog (US cloud) to understand how the App is used (for example screen views, feature usage, and app lifecycle events). We may associate analytics with your Firebase user ID after you sign in. Depending on where you live, this may involve transferring analytics data to the United States. PostHog is governed by its Privacy Policy.

g) Crash & Error Reports

The App uses Sentry to collect crash reports and error logs. These may include device type, OS version, and stack traces. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.

h) In-App Purchases

Optional cardback unlocks are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play billing, and entitlement verification via RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We may store that you own a purchased cardback and related transaction identifiers needed to grant and restore purchases. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use the Information

To provide and improve the tarot reading experience
To authenticate you and sync preferences across sessions
To generate AI-powered interpretations of your questions
To display advertisements that help fund the free App
To process and restore optional in-app purchases
To analyse usage and diagnose technical issues

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase – authentication, database, cloud functions
OpenAI – AI text generation
Google AdMob – in-app advertising
PostHog – product analytics
Sentry – error monitoring
RevenueCat – in-app purchase entitlements
Apple / Google – sign-in and store billing, as applicable

4. Data Retention

Your account data, preferences, and related records are retained while your account remains active. You may delete your account at any time in the App (Settings → User Profile → Delete Account). Deletion removes your Firebase Authentication account and associated Firestore data under your user ID. You may also request deletion as described on our Delete Account page.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including Firebase security rules and HTTPS for API communication, to protect your data. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights & Contact

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. You can delete your account in the App, or contact us at:

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
